The various indications of bipolar disorders

Every human will experience various types of highs and lows in life, but some people may experience something different. Take for example people with bipolar disorder, highs and or lows can interfere with daily life. Work becomes harder, decisions are tougher, and relationships can suffer. The only treatment that is most essential in this case is good behaviour and sympathy. Your love towards the patient is very essential. Most people associated bipolar disorder with the highs and lows in mood, but the disorder affects much more than that. Symptoms may also include sudden changes in daily habits like sleeping, eating, energy level, attention, and other behaviours.

The various other symptoms of disease:

Bipolar disorder is mainly characterised by extreme mood swings. These can commence from extreme highs to extreme lows. There are various types of bipolar signs. Basically bipolar disorder which was in early days termed as manic depression, is a mental health condition that causes extreme type of mood swings

Sometimes you may become depressed and suddenly you may feel sad or hopeless and lose interest or pleasure in most activities. Once your mood shift to mania or hypomania (less extreme than mania), you may feel euphoric, full of energy or unusually irritable. These mood swings can affect sleep, energy, activity, judgment, behaviour and the ability to think clearly. Various phases of mood swings may occur rarely or multiple times a year. While most of the people will experience some emotional symptoms between episodes, some may not experience any.

It has been observed that bipolar disorder is a lifelong condition and you can manage your mood swings and other symptoms by following a treatment plan. In most cases, bipolar disorder is treated with medications and psychological counselling. Bipolar II disorder is not a milder form of bipolar I disorder, but extremely separate diagnosis. Both of them are two different one from different angles. But both are quite serious.

Although bipolar disorder can occur at any age, typically it’s diagnosed in the teenage years or early 20s. Symptoms may vary from person to person, and symptoms may also vary over time. The other signs and symptoms of bipolar I and bipolar II disorders may include other features, such as anxious distress, melancholy, psychosis or other related things. The symptoms may appear at various timings. Apart from this, bipolar symptoms may even occur during pregnancy or change with the seasons. This might be very dangerous. Symptoms of bipolar disorder can be difficult to identify in children and teens. It’s often tough to tell whether these are normal ups and downs or the results of any type of stress or trauma, or either signs of a mental health problem other than bipolar disorder.

Even the children and teens may have some distinct major depressive or manic or hypomanic episodes, but the pattern may be quite different from the adults. The moods can rapidly shift during these episodes. Some children may have periods without mood symptoms between episodes.
